In 1987, in collaboration with Jacques Lancelot, Guy Deplus, and Michel Arrignon, Buffet Crampon introduced a clarinet that would become a global reference: the Festival clarinet. Its versatility and adaptability allowed it to quickly conquer new geographical and artistic territories. Many amateur and professional clarinettists chose this new instrument for its playability and flexibility, while also embracing its capability of playing in wind ensembles, symphony orchestras, chamber music, or solo at home.
